Sole Survivor: Woman Found Alive After 7 Days In Wilderness

A 73-year-old woman who went missing for seven days in the wilderness of central California was found alive on Friday, after searchers spotted her waving a white cloth.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was reported missing by her family on Sunday, October 8. She had last been seen leaving her home near the town of Mariposa, about 70 miles (115 kilometers) west of Yosemite National Park, to go for a walk.

A search party comprising hundreds of people began scouring the area around her home on Monday. The search was made more difficult by the fact that much of the surrounding land is forested and hilly.

On Friday morning, a member of the search party saw the woman waving a white T-shirt from a hillside about two miles (3 kilometers) from her home. Rescuers reached her shortly afterward and transported her to a local hospital for treatment of dehydration and exposure.

"She's lucky she's alive," Mariposa County Sheriff Doug Binnewies told reporters at a news conference on Friday. "She's fortunate that there was someone looking for her."

Binnewies said it was not clear how the woman managed to survive for seven days in an area with little vegetation and no fresh water sources. He speculated that she may have found shelter in a small cave or hollow tree.

Sole Survivor of Plane Crash is a 4 Year Old Girl

In the early hours of the morning on December 8th, a small passenger plane crashed in a remote wooded area in upstate New York. The only survivors were 4 year old Ella and her 7 month old sister.

Ella's parents and two other siblings were killed in the crash. Ella was found several hours later by search and rescue teams, wandering through the woods alone and crying for her family.

Ella is now the sole survivor of the tragic accident and is struggling to cope with the death of her loved ones. She has been staying with her grandparents since the accident, who are doing their best to provide comfort and support.

"She doesn't really understand what happened," said grand-father John Peters. "All she knows is that her family is gone."

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it is thought that engine failure may have been responsible. The small plane was en route from Ohio to New York when it went down.

Sole Survivor of Mass Shooting at Church is a Teenager

The small, close-knit town of Sutherland Springs, Texas was the scene of a mass shooting at a church on Sunday. The shooter, identified as Devin Patrick Kelley, killed 26 people and injured about 20 others. One of the youngest victims was only 14 years old.

The teenage girl is the sole survivor of the massacre. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Kelley had a history of domestic violence and was discharged from the Air Force for assaulting his wife and child. He had also sent threatening text messages to his mother-in-law, who attended the church but was not there at the time of the shooting.

This is just the latest in a long line of mass shootings in America. In October, 58 people were killed and hundreds more injured in Las Vegas when a gunman opened fire on a music festival from his hotel room. And in June, 49 people were killed and 53 injured in an attack on an Orlando nightclub.

These shootings are becoming all too common in America. Something must be done to address this epidemic before more innocent lives are lost.

Sole Survivor of Sinking Boat is a Dog

In October of last year, a fishing boat carrying six people capsized off the coast of Italy. Only one member of the crew, a dog named Lucky, survived.

The crew had been out fishing for octopus when the boat suddenly capsized in rough seas. The other five passengers, all men, were quickly swept away and drowned. Lucky was found clinging to the overturned boat by a rescue team four hours later.

Lucky is being hailed as a hero for saving his own life, but he is also being mourned as a victim of the tragedy. Andrea Accinelli, one of the firefighters who helped rescue Lucky, said "It's because of this dog that we have any survivors at all."

Rescuers were initially skeptical that a dog could have survived such a traumatic experience, but Lucky was found to be in good condition considering what he had been through. He was taken to a local shelter and has since been adopted by one of the members of the rescue team.

Woman Discovers She's the Sole Survivor of a Fatal Car Accident

A woman in her early twenties has discovered that she is the only survivor of a car accident that occurred 3 years ago. The accident killed all other passengers in the car, including her boyfriend. She has no memory of the accident and recalls nothing from the days leading up to it.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, says that she began having flashbacks and nightmares about the accident a few months ago. "It was like my brain was trying to tell me something," she says.

After doing some research online, she found an article about the accident that matched the details of her dreams and flashbacks. "I couldn't believe it. I just sat there staring at my computer screen for what felt like hours," she recalls.

The woman is now working with a therapist to come to terms with the news and grieve for her lost friends and loved ones. "It's been really hard," she says. "But I know that I have to keep going for them."
